Steps to change IP address on android

Note: before changing IP address on android, you need to remember your current IP address otherwise you will not be able to know if the IP address is changed or not. So, it is recommended to check your current IP address before moving to a new IP address. You can check your current IP address by going to Settings > About Phone > Phone Information > Status > IP address (take a screenshot so that you can refer it check if your IP address is changed or not).

To Change IP address on android, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: turn ON the flight mode on your android device and turn it back OFF after few seconds.

Step 2: open your Network Settings. Under the Network Settings long press the Network in question and tap Modify Network.

Step 3: tap the advanced options drop down and navigate to IP settings.

Step 4: tap the IP settings drop down and choose Static (a new window will appear).

Step 5: in the new window, you’ll have an option to configure, IP address, proxy, gateway address, DNS server (primary DNS and secondary DNS) etc.

Step 6: enter the new IP address, DNS server, Proxy and all other details.

That’s it! You have changed your android device IP address successfully. You can check the new IP address via Settings > About Phone > Phone Information > Status > IP address. You can also check your IP address by typing “what is my IP address” in Google.
